AVL was late in delivering on the multi-million $ development of diesel injection simulation solution for Bosch. This was a very challenging and high profile project to help the design advancement of high pressure Diesel injectors. I was brought in to recover the initiative with the Development Team of 5. I assessed the project status and established a delivery roadmap with revised project timeline and deliverables with Bosch. As a result we were able to calculate cavitation under moving geometry and 2000 bar pressure drop. The results were accepted by Bosch and deployed the solution. In this way we succeeded in completing the world-first calculations and executing delivery within 12-months. The solution is still available in AVL FIRE.
